Biography

Professor MeeAe Oh-Ranck earned her Master of Science in Textile Design from Philadelphia University, concentrating in digital print design. She earned her BFA, with a major in Fashion Design, from Moore College of Art & Design, Philadelphia. She has worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years as a creative and technical designer both in the US and internationally.

MeeAe is the co-owner of thinkZingInk, LLC, an educational and design consulting firm. Publications include a book entitled Human Behavior as Mirrored with Expressive Textile and several articles in local newspapers.

She is a current Board Member at the Costume Society of America and a member of National Art Education Association. Presently, she is teaching fashion and textile design at Albright College. She has been researching and teaching sustainable and ethical practices in the fashion and textile industry through innovative technologies and traditional methods as a gentler approach to the environment since 2008. Most recent research areas include digital textile printing technology, natural dyeing, and slow fashion by utilizing haute-couture construction. MeeAe was part of the developing team for the MS in Global Fashion Enterprise Jefferson University (Philadelphia University).
