University鈥檚 nursing programs honored by Colleges of Distinction for fifth consecutive year
础濒惫别谤苍颈补鈥檚 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program has once again demonstrated its commitment to nursing excellence by achieving a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for its pre-licensure nursing students in 2024. This significant milestone highlights the university鈥檚 continued dedication to preparing highly skilled nursing professionals ready to meet the demands of modern healthcare.
"The 100% NCLEX pass rate is a testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication of our faculty and staff," said Alvernia Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Leamor Kahanov, Ed.D., ATC/LAT. "We take immense pride in offering a nursing education that emphasizes experiential inter-professional learning, rigorous academic standards in state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring our graduates are fully equipped to provide high-quality patient care."
The NCLEX, administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, is the standard licensure examination required to enter the nursing profession. 础濒惫别谤苍颈补鈥檚 2024 cohort not only passed the exam on its first attempt but did so with an exceptional level of preparedness, reflecting the John and Karen Arnold School of Nursing鈥檚 holistic approach to nursing education.

In addition to the NCLEX success, 础濒惫别谤苍颈补鈥檚 nursing programs have been honored by the for the fifth consecutive year. The recognition celebrates the university鈥檚 dedication to delivering high-quality, student-centered education. Alvernia's nursing program continues to stand out for its hands-on learning experiences, high student satisfaction, and strong graduate outcomes.
The BSN program was also recognized by the U.S. News and World Report as a top-600 program in the country.

础濒惫别谤苍颈补鈥檚 Nursing Program readies future healthcare professionals to provide healthcare in many different settings, from hospitals to schools to nursing homes to disaster relief sites. The university also hosts two nursing-related student-run organizations. The Alvernia Student Nurses' Association allows students to network with other student nurses and nursing professionals on a state and national level. The Nursing Honor Society recognizes superior achievement and the development of leadership qualities, fosters high professional standards, encourages creative work and strengthens commitment to the ideas and purposes of the nursing profession.
